Roman Nunez is a highly qualified and sought after baseball expert with extensive experience as a player, coach and trainer.
As a player, he captained his college team at SUNY Farmingdale, leading his team to the playoffs every year. Nunez still holds numerous records at the university. He is one of 22 players in the school's history to sign a professional contract. After his playing career, he continued his education in the field of sports training. Today, Nunez specializes in SAQ (speed, agility and quickness) training.
Coach Nunez was a coach at the junior college level as well. He has coached and mentored athletes who went on to major division 1 schools and also signed pro contracts. As a sports trainer and coach, his first client, Edwin Almonte, broke all the saves records for the Chicago White Sox minor league organization. In addition, Almonte played for the Future Stars and later made his debut for the New York Mets.
Coach Nunez is a true student of the game who constantly looks for new and innovative ways to teach the game. Some of his coaches and mentors include Bucky Dent and Kevin Long (New York Yankees) and Ed Ott (Pittsburgh Pirates).
